We work with a diversified membership of industries, civil society organisations, and experts of all sizes and types: from corporations to SMEs and artisans, professional federations and trade unions, consumers associations, consultants and experts. All of our members contribute to the energy transition and are committed to achieving carbon neutrality. They bring us their expertise in regards to the economic and social realities of their sector.
Mission and Values
Created in 2011 as a non-profit organisation with its headquarters based in Paris, EdEn (Equilibre des Energies) is a transversal platform gathering stakeholders from the energy, construction and mobility sectors with one common goal: to make a better energy society in a decarbonised world.
We are committed to making Europe a world leader in clean energies:
- By promoting technologies and solutions that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions ;
- By supporting the growing use of renewable sources ;
- By encouraging the development of energy efficient buildings ;
- By developing clean mobility ;
- By consolidating European energy independence.
About us
EdEn is chaired by Former French Minister and Executive Coordinator of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development, Brice Lalonde.
EdEn’s recommendations to policymakers rely on scientific knowledge and on a recognised expertise. This expertise comes from our Scientific, Economic, Environmental and Social Committee (SEESC), chaired by Jean-Pierre Hauet, former Senior Vice-President and CTO of Alstom.
